The Cultural Empowerment and Creative Music for the Human Development Project of San Pablo de Heredia aims to promote the creation of new artistic manifestations and the renewal of knowledge and cultural creativity with social awareness in the community of San Pablo de Heredia. Working for the cultural reactivation of the canton, this is done in order to strengthen human development, sociocultural innovation and the search for the common good.
General Objective
- Strengthen cultural projects and the professionalization of musicians in San Pablo de Heredia through the renewal of knowledge and cultural creativity, alongside social consciousness, in order to culturally reactivate de canton. This with the objective of fostering human development, social cultural innovation and the search for the common good.
Specific Objectives
- Develop educational spaces and culture exchanges in the community of San Pablo that promote sociocultural awareness and cultural rights, emphasizing freedom of cultural expression, the common good, individual empowerment and community participation through entrepreneurship, art, creativity and the development of cultural projects.
Promote the artistic and professional development of musicians and music students of the community through their participation in innovative and creative cultural activities with national and international artists of great trajectory. The goal is also to involve local networks to strengthen the development and communal wellbeing of the locality in relation to their own sociocultural context.
Promote reflective learning processes centered around the condition of the artist and cultural entrepreneur from a gender mainstreaming perspective through the creation of training spaces for women workers in the cultural sector of the community of San Pablo de Heredia.
EMPOCULTURA Programs
Cultural Management for Community Involvement
Workshops and activities designed to strengthen and motivate entrepreneurship and cultural participation in the community.
Spontaneous Music from a Creative and Social Perspective
This program focuses on the students and teachers of the San Pablo School of the Arts and music students from surrounding communities. The program includes workshops, a music technology program, trainings, and concerts all focused on music as a tool for human development and the common good.
Empowerment of Women Artists and Workers in the Cultural Sector
This program focuses on supporting 10 women to boost their artistic careers and their sense of cultural entrepreneurship.
